Piano lessons!

I have spent the majority of my life working in restaurants. Lately, not going well. So, I have decided to try teaching piano. People have been telling me I should  for a long time. But, I guess I lack confidence. So, here goes... Here is the sign I made, I think it came out pretty good!

  1. This is awesome!I married a pianist. He taught songwriting for a little while, and then as talented as he is, lacks confidence too. You can do this!!! This poster rocks.

  2. PS I think maybe you can charge more, just saying.

  3. Thank you! Making it was quite a bit more stressful then you might think. I wasn't sure how much to charge, I don't know what the going rate is. I guess better look into it. I don't have any experience teaching.

  4. This is a great poster, Lilah. Most times you see a sign like this, it is written plainly in black on white. I think this could help inspire people to take this step and do something they always wanted.

You could probably charge more, but I think this rate is good if you are just starting out teaching. Does this include electric keyboards, too? I was just thinking, I don't know how many people have pianos anymore.

  5. Thank you, for a variety of reasons that poster was a lot of work. I did start out with a plain black and white one but I didn't love it and no one called. Still no one has called but I do like my poster. I actually wrote the music in the back ground as well. I didn't charge a lot because I don't have any experience teaching. You know I do not really deal with electric key boards I will admit. I prefer the sound and feel of a real piano. I can listen to some electric music but, I have a hard time playing those electric keyboards and I don't have one. I always have to play with them when I go to the music store though!
